“Creating clothes is the only way that I can truly express myself. I feel that having a free-spirited sort of limitless approach to my designs is very important to me, so I began my own label Midorikawa in 2017.” Born in 1982, Tokyo, Taku Midorikawa joined the Bunka Fashion College in 2001 and graduated in 2003. After graduating, he began an art project entitled “The Library Police Group” and collaborated with Shin Murayama, an established mask-making artist. In 2017, he launched the label Midorikawa. Midorikawa is a brand that is based on traditional Japanese techniques and skilful craftsmanship. Midorikawa aims to create clothes that are memorable and inspire people.
